Hi John :) was about to ask if you'd managed to get time off for T, but noticed your comment. Bad luck :( maybe next year eh? K's heading there early 2morrow. Take That were tremendous, definately worth all the agro getting there. Off to see the Duranies next thurs. I'll let you know how that goes.... if I can remember........only joking. K had a brilliant prom night, thanks. There were eight very beautiful / handsom youngsters all leaving from ours that night, so loads of photos were taken, as you can imagine. It was pretty chaotic but well worth it to see them all dressed up. I'm going to start saving next month for my 13 year old's prom. Can't imagine going through all the dramas 5 times over, John........you have my sympathy. Twice is certainly enough for me lol! I can only say that I'm a civil servant(if I tell you anything else, I'd have to shoot you!), but that's me on leave just now till the kids go back at school, so hoping the good weather's going to keep coming :) :) What about you? Speak soon L
Hi Louise, How was Duran Duran & Take that? Hope you had lots of fun........went easy on the vino! Girlies nights, just lock your doors the girls are coming to town! NO? How was the prom night night for your daughter? At least the stress level will have reduced by now .......a little?.....Guess not going by my 15 year old daughter (Drama queen), but she is mine :-). I'm off Monday, have a 13.10hrs check-in, then on Tuesday, I have to go to Holland and onto Norway, so can't go to T in the park.....BOO!! I'm not happy, but work is work now days. Is life treating you well, work? What do you do for a living?? Must go to bed soon, up at 05.00hrs, speak soon, John
Hi John :) Sounds like you had a blast at IOW. Makes such a difference when the weathers good. Fingers crossed it'll be dry on sunday as gig's @ Hampden. I wasn't a big Take That fan years ago, but they've sorta grown on me. I'm hopefing The Script will be in great form too - I love their album.
I've just got the two girls 17 & 13. They did fanatically like McFly, but not so much now. That's kids for you lol! My eldest is doing the whole camping T in the Park thing this year & is really looking forward to it. They both love live music too. Duran Duran's @ the Castle & will probably be hellish to get home from....... but worth it.
My brain's totally frazzled right now with prom arrangements for friday, so excellent chance I'll be sparkled shortly after K leaves in limo...................... can't wait ;-)
Learned any new songs ??
I know what you mean John, my daughter K's a H&C fan too. We went to Classic Grand gig last year & she absolutely loved it. Was not in the least bit happy that she couldn't come along to ABC gig with us. Kept saying I'd dumped her in favour of Pauline. Hey, you can't please all of the people all of the time lol!
The site can be a maze until you get used to it.
I'm off to see Take That @ Hampden next week with both my daughters. They're VERY excited about it. I'm more excited about seeing The Script who're supporting them. The only other gig I've got lined up so far this year is Duran Duran @ Edinburgh Castle in July. That's a big girlie night, so I'm really looking forward to that one.
Hope you both have a fantastic time @ the IOW festival - I don't doubt that you will - and report back later
Hi John :) I'd noticed that you'd signed up. What do you think of the site, now you've hopefully had a chance to have a good nosey? You can easily loose yourself here. So what CDs did you buy to form your collection? Hope you've converted a few more people into H & C fans with all that singing. What's next .................?
Alway time for a wee bit of internet shopping at lunch time, am on shift for 15 hours per day, so hence the crazy singing on deck. That the one 'Violently'. Now what shall sing on deck?
Two weeks off, why Bergen? You must go to the fish market area of the town and at £8 for a 1/2 Ltr you will stay sobber. Sprits cost more, but are doubles and don't get a mixer, just lot of ice. Wine is a bit cheaper (Try the supermarkets), but not much. It cost many Kroners to eat out too! I am over a lot and will be more in Oslo later on in the year.
I have a 07.00hrs check-in, but it is the milk run, so should be in Aberdeen by 11.00ish, bar by 11.30hrs with the crew and then home.......so no delays please!
You have a great time off and try to be good in Norway!
Busy at work eh? Time for internet shopping? Just a dream for me when I'm at work!!
Think the song you mean is Violently.... ;)
Got a couple of weeks off work, so looking forward to the break. Heading over to Bergen next weekend, so won't be getting drunk!
Fingers crossed that you get home tomorrow, and no delays stuck in the North Sea!
Really enjoyed Saturday night at the Lemon tree, great to see other people who also enjoyed the night and find a good web site, got the new CD and signed too! My son (21yrs) like Hue & Cry too and missed the Lemon tree, yes I did rub it in about the gig, the CD and what a night was missed by him.........OK bad Dad :-) Cheers and when are you up in Sunny Aberdeen again or Brighton or Oslo?
