We Need To Know - What Venues Should We Be Playing In Your Part of the World?

Hi folks

All pistons pumping in the H&C planning room... and we need your help on something specific.

What are the venues close to you, or accessible to you, that you'd like to see us playing? Whether for full-band or piano-vocal?

Any suggestions gratefully received -- please post below!

best, pat and greg x

Techie question regarding the site

When I access the site from my ipod touch I can't seem to access the open forum and other areas of the site. Is that a limitation that has been built in for people using mobiles etc?

Also while we're on the subject is there an app that is good for viewing the site? I found a few but they seem to be written only for specific types of forums. I know you can use Safari but it can be a pain having to resize text.

PS I'm posting this from my pc so I'm not sure if I could do… Continue

Xmasday in January/February/March and beyond...

Have been listening to Xmasday today and still loving it, even though it is no longer Christmas, not even a little bit. I hope everybody is doing the same and a big thank you once again to Pat and Greg for making such a wonderful album and a fantastic package. May all Music Club members have their best year ever. DC

Music Club & gender

So... having a brief scan of members, there seems to be a dominance of men as members. But you wouldn't get that from either the number of men/women at concerts or the number of women in pix on this site. Does this mean that the Music Club appeals more to men than women? Or is this because less women are online?

Just food for thought...

Hue And Cry Lyrics - From The Start

Hi All

Since there seems to be little activity on the music club site, I thought I would start of something that could occupy our time for a little while.

Been going through the Hue And Cry back catalogue and was wondering if we could get a definitive collection of correct lyrics to Hue And Cry songs. Starting in chronological order I would like you all to work through these and see if you agree. Maybe Greg & Pat and correct any mistakes. Any corrections are… Continue

Glasgow weekend.......better late than never!!!

Hi there.
My first blog!!
I really enjoyed the 2 day VIP experience in Glasgow and would certainly recommend it for those who didn't participate. The boys were fantastic and Pat's voice was a joy to hear, never missed a note. Despite the cold weather Glasgow was great. Here's to a reunion in December 2010!
Only problem was a lack of company, so......if there are any female H&C fans who would like to hook up, send me a message.

I came across a neat little comparison site for mp3 downloads ... www.TuneChecker.com

Might be useful for anyone buying Hue and Cry albums.

My purchases

I have always had the cd's but never really discovered the wealth of b sides and remixes that I guess were part of marketing a band in the late 80s / early 90s. Did a bit of shopping on amazon and for £20 was able to pick up;

Strength to Strength UK CDS
Looking For Linda (Gospel on the Track remix)
Violently (Rolling Gently) 3'' CD single
I Refuse 1987 12''

In all 9 remixes and 4 b sides - absolute magic!
