Don't know if anyone caught the Jonathan Ross Show today on Radio 2, at about 11am?
Shane 'Alfie Moon' Richie was the guest, and after chatting for a bit about his career and telly work, he got very animated and insisted that Jonathan get OPEN SOUL and play 'THE LAST STOP' immediately, as he is a huge H&C fan. Initially, Jonathan was like, "Hue and Cry? They still about??" But Shane mentioned the tour a number of times. To remind Rossy who H&C were, he sang the first line of… Continue

I think i may well be in the minority here, but is anyone else having problems getting their photos uploaded?
After a couple of days of trying, i have only managed 5 photos posted.
I have recieved a message from Pat & Greg explaining that i'm not allowed to post "my own" photos on this site.
I both understand and was fully aware of the rules concerning turning my home page into my own personal photo album! I don't consider for one minute that the photos i… Continue

Well, my musical 2009 tour gets even better... looks like I have located a good ticket for Durham, thanks to a fellow fan on here. I hope that I can do the same for other people within this community in the future too... Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay close to the venue?. It will simply be a place to "crash" overnight and leave pretty early the next morning in order to meet up with my best friend back in Barnsley in time to get down to Shepherds Bush Empire for the Saturday night gig… Continue

Dear all, unfortunately one of my cameras failed on me on Saturday night. So I'm kinda lacking in footage. Could anybody who filmed the gig on phones, cameras, whatever please let me know and I'll arrange to get the footage from you so i can use it in a short film I'm doing about the gig. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT THE QUALITY'S LIKE ... I CAN DEAL WITH IT IN POST PRODUCTION. So please spread the word and help me out guys.

I had the good fortune to see my first Hue and Cry gig on Saturday. I was there with my wife and two of her friends and their husbands. Initially I was kind of half looking forward to the night out because it was one of the few nights out without kids. We went for something to eat and a couple of beers across the road. We came in to catch the last couple of songs from the warm up band and then wait for the main event.
From the off the everything sounded great. As the night went on I… Continue

I've already raved elsewhere about how fantastic last night in Glasgow was but I'm left with a slight problem now which Pat or other singers on the site might be able to help me with...
Tomorrow night I'm teaching my usual Italian class up at Strathclyde and it's the night of their "Listening Assessment" where they hear a passage in Italian ( read out by yours truly) and answer questions thereon.
I've completely lost my voice!!
I sang along at the gig so… Continue

What a superb venue and what a superb night. I had one of the best specs in the house with my partner, we were right at the front next to Greg and it was tremendous.
I even enjoyed Honey Ryder this time around as well even though they cost me 3 quid in downloads !!
I was a bit critical after the gig in Manchester late last year and i am so glad that i broke my self imposed Hue and Cry exile and travelled up for this gig.
It was great to see the band and the boys… Continue

I know that a lot of u guys want to hear this song. But making the "Showtime" album was a painful experience for me. The producer, Richard Niles deemed me a sub par pianist and hired someone to play piano on the record. So I don't want to revisit that time ever again. Pat and I wrote the songs on Showtime, but I had very little to do with the performances or arrangements on that record. Altho, I am going to learn it over the next few days and will probably play it with Pat @ some point on this… Continue

It was a real pleasure last night at ABC to interview Greg and Pat for the tartanpodcast
. We chatted about, among other things, the vibrant community here at the Music Club, building a community around your music and all things new media.
I then got the chance to help Tippi
interview some of the Music Club members as they arrived at… Continue

What a rip roarin’ night oot, even though I only had one beer as I was driving, Jamie Lister managed to consume enough for both of us. Met said fellow H & C stalwart early on for a beer or two, he found himself in a pokey wee Scottish bar so we got out of dodge and headed to Rutland for a couple of beers – not been there for ages and it has all been tarted-up – very nice. He's not been to a live show before so was understandably hyper!
Got to the venue plenty early (too early by… Continue

great to see Pat and Greg making it again. Watched "Loose Women" -- what a pleasure to hear "Labour of Love" live once more. I still love the music. I toured in the 1980s with Pat and Greg in the wonderful 10-piece band, playing New York, L.A. and numerous UK venues. Can't believe it's over 20 years. UPDATE: I'm now married with one son and living in Harrogate. My creativity is now pursued from musician to professional artist and teacher. www.lesleybirch.co.uk
