Just a quick one to say that I've taken the pretty huge decision that in this downloadable digital world, we really won't care about our CD collection in the future. I mean, we will... but our CD collection will be our MP3 collection, and for that we don't need CDs anymore. So with a heavy heart I am flogging a couple of things - Truth and Love and Next Move - because I reckon there are some people out there who would like the hard copy! Just search the basics on Ebay to find 'em.

Does anyone know if there are any plans for another tour passing anywhere near the midlands or is it early days?! Cocked up the dates for the Birmingham gig - gutted!

OMG, how excited was I when I got the email from Hue and Cry to say that they were playing at the Lemon Tree again. Couldn't wait to get home from work last night to book my tickets! But I did think that the 23rd May rang a bell. Was maybe going down to Glasgow for a wee sesh that day, but that's not going to happen now!
Time to get my Hue and Cry mp3 disc back in the car and go for a few long drives!
Blog to follow after May 23rd!

UPDATE (Sat, Apr 14):
Sorry about tech glitches everyone - it worked pretty well the last time on Ning, so we're going to inquire of them what the problem was. I think all your enthusiasm overloaded their system! Hopefully fixed for next week, when Greg will take on the conversation.

We're trying a bit of an experiment for a few weeks, maybe longer... the Ning platform that the Music Club is based on allows us to have a… Continue

Had to share this with you all... was checking out the Wikipedia entry on Hue And Cry, and came to this page on the AllMusic.com site.
They put us in a category which I have never heard of and which tickles me greatly...

As H&C will be guests of the Human League later in the year, I tought that it might be prudent to see if we can get them to the Festival organised by the Forestry Commission that takes place on Cannock Chase in 2010.
In the past we've seen Jools Holland, the Mighty Quo and this year Weller and the Sugarbabes.
Guys; it would be great to see you there. So, come on H&C fans - get behind this and see if we can… Continue

Been going through a lot of the stuff tonight on the Hue And Cry music club and since I made up the Hue & Cry discography last week, one thing I miss is having extended versions of songs that appeared on the old 12'' or CD singles.
I know there was a request from members some months ago for longer versions of songs on this site but having gone through the discography and listened to all four music labs I can't help wish that we could have extended versions of… Continue

As there are a large number of Midland's based fans linked to the site now, and in order to maintain the enthusiasm generated by this site, the last gigs and the album; I was wondering if those Midlanders amongst us should look to meet up, chat, swap tunes and stories in order to get to know each other a bit better.
If you're interested, please let me know and I'll be in touch.
Welcome your thoughts; see you soon.
