Chart Info

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone knows the highest chart positions of all hue and cry songs

I think they must have been the unluckiest band ever as they seemed to have a load of tunes that made the top 50 but not the top 40...

Also does anyone know the chart positions of the latest album and single releases

Keep up the great work guys your hour will come again

Funks Like a Mother

One of my favourite H&C intro's of all time came at this year's gig in Brum. Pat (who I must admit baffles me with big words), introduced "Heading for a Fall" by saying it "Funks like a Mother..!". Well, that quote has stayed with me and I'm always searching for songs, that do exactly that, so they could be included on the Private Stage.

One track, that sticks in my mind; also Funks Like a Mother - The Northern Soul Classic "The Snake" by Al Wilson.

It Funks Like a Mother

I'm always looking for great songs that I believe will fit perfectly to the H&C sound. Well, one of Pat's most memorable quotes (and one I can understand!) relates to "Heading for a Fall" and as he introduced the song in Brum he said, "It funks like a Mother!"; well, the same can be said for the Northern Soul classic, "The Snake" by Al Wilson.

Go on guys, give us a version for Private Stage....you know you want to....

Memories

i have just been listening to the live version of Stars Crash Down on You Tube and was taken back to my school days.

When I was 13 I wrote to the Hue adn Cry Fan Club, looking back it wasnt the best letter , and I must admit it must have been bad as I got no response.

But listening this morning reminded how much the music of Hue and Cry moved me and still does today

Saw you guys 4 times on tour. Now libe in Tenerife and WOULD love to see again. Fancy coming over… Continue
