Thanks, thanks, thanks!

Dear Pat & Greg and all Music Club Members.

I just received my copy of the signed Deluxe Edition of "Open Soul", this Monday and it hasn't left my CD-player since. What an perfect and uplifting album it has become! Every time I hear the songs, it brings a bit of sunshine in my, because of the upcoming autumn, darker living room. It's summer again! Thank you, Pat & Greg for your great efforts and artistic outings! Hope to see you soon on a stage in the Netherlands. I'll… Continue

Manchester gig

After a 5 hour drive from sunny to Minehead in Somerset to rainy Manchester, the show was well worth the travelling and the weather as it was red hot inside the Academy.
As we expected everything, music, singing and atmosphere was spot on, what an exellent show, the stars came crashing down which made it all worthwhile. Got some brilliant memories of the night and photo's to remind us. Open soul was played all the way home!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! Paul and Pat

House of Fraser (Kendals), Manchester

Hue and Cry will be on around 1pm. Don't forget that the Labour Party Conference is on at GMex so it will be rather busy in the area.

See you there.

What are your fave Hue & Cry Albums & why?

My fave albums (inc the Open Soul of course - which is mind blowingly fresh, vibrate and powerfully soulful all in one),

I guess the 1st Hue & Cry Album I heard was Remote with some classics like Ordinary Angel, Linda, the gorgeous ...Violently and I've always adored Sweet Invisibility.

Showtime was another CD I never stopped playing..I just love every track.

I felt pretty simular about Stars Crash Down the track and the album which includes such gems as Salt… Continue

Bush Hall.......15 Sept 08

Never been to this venue before, from the outside looked like quite a dive. Six thiry people started forming quite an orderly queue round the building. Never seen these guys in concert before, have been a fan since I was sixteen in Scotland.

Damn what a sound, packed hall, fantastic mix of phat tunes, my idea of a wicked and sophisticated night out .

Pat has such a rich voice....makes me proud to be Scottish

Keep doin it H&C............................

Konzert gestern in Glasgow

Das war eine Show.
Wir sind soeben aus Glasgow zurück. Dort fand gestern Abend das Hue and Cry Konzert "Open Soul" statt. Der absolute HAMMER. Neben tollen Fotos und Videos, einem tollen Tour-Shirt, handsignierten Open Soul-CD´s und geiler Musik, haben wir einen Rucksack voller toller Eindrücke mitgenommen. Thank you for this great thing!

The Lemon Tree - September 12th 2008

The boys are back - and still as good (if not better)

I had been looking forward to this night for a while. Being the night before my wedding anniversary, my husband was getting no choice in the fact that we were going!

We arrived at the Lemon Tree just on 9pm, and I was pleasantly surprised to see a queue formed heading up towards King Street. But the queue to get in went down a lot quicker than the queue at the bar!

Met up with a couple of friends, so we found… Continue

Two Demo Tracks

As we all eagerly await the release of OS on Monday, I thought I would post up a couple of demos I had knocking around from what was to be the "3:00" album. It is interesting to hear how the demos evolve to what I think are two amazing songs.............

my sis

My Sister Natasha was a very big fan of hue and cry. There are 8 years between her and I. I remember her coming in from seeing hue and cry when I was younger and her keeping me awake all night, talking for hours about how great they are. SHe met them a few times. Sadly she died in 1998. Just 18yrs old. She was about to start university. She was born with cystic fibrousis. She had 'mother glasgow' played at her funeral. She is part of the reason I love hue and cry, my mum seems to think its… Continue
