As we look forward to the new single and tour and having digested the first proper tour in a LONG time. I thought i'd have a wee go at putting some ideas together for the next tour.
Here's what I came up with (shoot me down at will!)
1. Try to keep this band together, as in my opinion it is as good if not better than any previous one. I know it's difficult as they all have solo stuff on but it's a really good band!!!
2. Some dramatic entrance music would be cool as the… Continue

I've just seen an old video of "I refuse" and it was a version I have never heard before. Was this the single version? Are there any CD's with it on?

Never new this site existed and my partner, knowing that is was at one time a great hue and cry fan let me know about the House of Frasers gig, went along and you know what, they still got it.
Music, lyrics, new songs, old songs, it was brilliant. I have recorded the whole 40 mins or so and i will upload it as soon as i get a chance.
First time i ever went to see them was at Motherwell civic centre when i was 14 years old (19 years ago) and they sound as good and powerful… Continue

Just about to head in to town to come and see you at House of Fraser. Camera in hand, and hoping to take some photos to add to the magic that is the Hue and Cry Music Club. See you this evening guys.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a download of Last Request? 8 hour round trip to Edinburgh yesterday. Disappointed gig was only an hour, but what an hour! My wife thinks I'm mad but I tell her it's only like supporting a football team.

I distinctly remember catching Hue and Cry supporting Madonna at the Leeds Roundhay Park concert in 1987. I'd heard Labour Of Love at the time, and I'd been told that the support act on the day was to be Wet Wet Wet. I wasn't a fan of Wet Wet Wet, so I was pleasantly surprised when H&C took to the stage (I do however respect their musicianship as I've gotten older). Within a couple of tracks I was hooked. I couldn't have cared less about the Madonna set after that. I found H&C to be a… Continue

Just a thank you to both Pat and Greg for the two Shefffield gigs, not going to sound like a right old bum, crawly lick type person bur you were absolutely fantastic. What a great pleasure (as always) to listen to 2 great musicians close up. And what an even greater pleasure to shake their hands and thank them for the brilliant new album. What top blokes. And just to round off another great experience I heard Greg say to someone that they are planning another tour in February. Brilliant. The gig at Manchester Uni was superb. Great sound, great band, especially the drummer - what a legend.
It's not often you get to meet your heroes. I had a few… Continue

What about that then? It's gorgeous, and signed, and far too nice to touch. Think I'll buy a regular one to play, and just keep this one to look at!
Who did the design? It's lovely.

It's an ongoing frustration in this day and age of emusic that record labels don't publish complete back catalogues - all CD singles, 12" mixes and all albums. Are they now keen to exploit all their assets ?
Today's rant is because I've got it into my head that I would like to get a copy of the tracks from the CD Single of Sweet Invisibility. Where are they, or how do I find them - beyond shelling out £4 a track by buying the Cd Single from the resell sharks. :)

It's been a great few months since this site started and the new album was built up so well and(finally) released. For Hue and Cry fans it's no surprise that the new album is full of delights, as few as long as I can remember each album they have released has been brimming with stunning, beautiful, fresh and funky music. But what has been a surprise this time round is the way it has all come about and how contemporary the whole album seems.
I have read a couple of reviews about the album,… Continue
