Having being a fan of hue and cry since I was a wee boy- with heavily gelled hair and growing up with them (I'm now in my 30's!) Their new material is as good if not better than anything they have ever done.
Now the thing is my girlfriend watches strictly come dancing and I must endure it also, and I see these bands come on on a sunday night and was thinking wouldn't it be great to see hue and cry back on mainstream tv showing the public what they can do especially with fitting songs like… Continue

The sign of a great album for me is the fact that firstly, I've still got it in the player 2 months after it's release, secondly, a number of the tracks hit you from 1st play and thirdly, I have a new favourite song each week. I started with Plan B, moved swiftly to The Last Stop, then couldn't stop playing Fireball, Heading for a Fall. After hearing Pat's explanation for European Child, played that more, it's not been a favourite though, sorry! and am now in love with the sequence of Connect,… Continue

Paul's scan of the 1989 tour programme was fascinating because it detailed the band members, and it got me thinking about all the various players I've seen with the boys. There are some major gaps below, so perhaps people could help fill in not a discography or a gigography but a "bandography" of the past 20 years:
1987/88 Seduced and Abandoned Tours:
Drums: Tony McCracken, Bass: James Finegan, Guitar: Nigel Clark, BVs: Davie Preston. On the second tour, a brass section was… Continue

I've been listening to your music for 21 years now and have loved every minute of it. 10 Albums, not including the best of's or Live 99, and each album contains some of my favourite songs that have transferred from vinyl, to tape, to cd and eventually on to digital.
As the years have progressed and technology has progressed with it, your music is now more accessible than it has ever been before, thanks in the main to digital and mp3 player age. All of your albums are now on my mp3… Continue

Christopher kindly tried to direct me to the site where I could get tickets for the Edinburgh concert - but there is no listing for Edinburgh and I can't get any further. Only Birmingham and London, which are both after the Edinburgh concert. Has it sold out? Am I being incredibly stupid? I'm no longer a regular concert-goer, but always like to make the effort for the best band. Where am I going wrong?

I have been waiting for about 3 weeks for my brand new Hue and Cry T-shirts to drop through the post ( also purchased the "C'mon legs" bag for the missus). I liked the idea of customising your own shirts etc ( I'll be the one with the lime green T-shirt on at the ABC gig in February) and placed my order without delay.
I looked forward to the day that the postie dropped the parcel through the post, lifting my spirits after I had spent another day slogging through the miseries of… Continue
