I know it's all about the new material at the moment but I was sifting through some of the rarer items I have and found some gems! Along with a pair of promo Labour of Love croupier shirt bands! (can't even see a tenious link there!) I also found a couple of demo versions of Love is the Master and Just One Word! They sound a little sluggish but I think they are an interesting listen. Have also posted up both versions of the US Mix of LOL.

I can't explain how excited I am getting about getting my hands on Open Soul. The music labs have been amazing, and have me not only wanting to hear the rest of your album, but also makes me want to maybe have a go at writing and recording some original stuff myself. So cheers for that.
There does seem to be a few wee secret gigs going on here and there, and I seem to be hearing about them after the event, but hopefully will catch you guys soon.

Hey I'm a new Hue and Cry fan from the states. It's great to see & hear Paul Mills sounding so soulful. Thanks for having such a terrific site to keep up with the band.

I have been listening to the new tracks a lot over the past few days after the amazing warm up gig. I have found it interesting to note how much of a sound H&C have and how (other than Pats voice and greg's playing) that sound now more so than ever is reminiscent of the early stuff but still sounding very modern. The horn lines on the latest stuff full of jazz feel (like jazz not jazz etc) and yet could be just as at home on Labour of Love. The funky rhythm driving through the songs but yet… Continue

It's like a criticism, glaring at me whenever I open my page on this nice site. I feel like I ought to, just to show a friendly spirit.
H&C fans ARE friendly, I'm always taken aback by how thrilled we are to meet each other and enthuse. H&C, (or Pat and Greg plus the band, if you like), are important to me, because their music is one of the very few things my brother and myself have in common. It is what has linked us, although we've… Continue

The Janice Forsyth Show on BBC Radio Scotland, 15th June, featured an exclusive interview with Pat and Greg about the new album Open Soul. Janice opened the discussion playing the classic ‘Looking For Linda’, went on to play forthcoming single ‘The Last Stop’ and album track ‘Fireball’. She described the new material as simply “FANTASTIC”.
Another Scottish radio event (15th June) was Billy Sloan, one of our… Continue
